Wolves

Unlike most prairie animal species whose body size decreased drastically as the Forest receded by the First Alaun, the wolves retained their enormous size. It is unknown why this is. Wolves remain the size as they were thousands of years ago, roughly the size of a normal riding horse. Wolves and humans share very similar looking eyes, but a wolf's eyes see longer distances and glow bright in the dark. All wolves start out with straight black fur when they are born and slowly grow into their adult pelt color after a couple of years. It is not common for wolves to follow orders from any other species whether they be bear or Alaun, but for some reason, the follow the words of a man whom some wolves hold their trust in.
